Avocado Cilantro Sauce

If you like avocado and cilantro then this recipe is for you!!!!  To tackle on to my last Taco Tuesday post, here is a great condiment to make that you can add to any protein – fish, poultry, steak, even eggs!

You’ll notice that there aren’t many (or any) condiments on my blog.  The reason for that is because I’m not very big into condiments.  No particular reason, just wasn’t brought up consuming them so I guess I grew to not have a palette for them.  However, sometimes when creating meals, like tacos, it’s always good to switch things up!  I top my food with avocados and cilantro all the time so what happens if we add a little garlic, olive oil and blend?  Well, pictured here – HEAVEN happens.   Takes 3 minutes to make.  Enjoy, all!

Ingredients: Serving: 1/2 cup

  • 1 Large Ripe Avocado
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Cup (or big handful) Cilantro

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender.
  2. Blend together at a slow-medium pace (my blender has a ‘puree’ button, I picked that).
  3. DONE

(*if the sauce is too thick depending on the ripeness of the avocado, add more olive oil or a little water*)

It’s as SIMPLE as that.  You can use this on absolutely anything – sandwiches, bowls, toppings on all protein sources, salads, etc.
